A date that will be forever etched in the minds of every person across our nation
and around the world.
To the victims and their families - The world mourns your loss. We watched the events
of the morning unfold with horror, disbelief and outrage as so many innocent lives were
lost...from those in the airplanes, to those in the buildings, to those on the ground. We
cried for people we knew and for those we didn't. Our hearts and prayers are with all of
you and your families. You will never be forgotten.
To those involved the rescue effort - We applaud you and thank you from the bottoms of
our hearts. For your endless hours of service and dedication. For being willing to do a
job the likes of which most of us can't even imagine. We grieve for those of you who lost
your lives in the line of duty.
To those resposible - There are no words to describe how we feel about you. The intense
single-minded blind hatred that must have driven you to this act is uncomprehensible. Just
let this be known....we will mourn our dead, clean up the rubble left behind and begin to
rebuild that which you sought to destroy. We are strong...we will not allow the likes of
you to break our spirit. You will be found, and justice will be served. And when it is,
we will pray for your souls...to burn in HELL. You have not won.
And lastly, to the people of America - It will be quite some time before the wounds of
this tragedy heal completely, if ever. A small measure of comfort can be found, however, in
the way we have responded to this tragedy. All across the country donations of blood, money,
food, supplies and time have been pouring in. This show of compassion for our fellow man in
this time of crisis is both heartwarming and encouraging. Now, more than ever, we all need to
stand tall, be proud and never be afraid to say...
If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away
And I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'll gladly stand up, next to you, and defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land, God bless the USA.
From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,
From Detroit down to Houston, from New York to LA,
Well there's pride in every American heart,
And it's time we stand and say,
That I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free,
And I won`t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'll gladly stand up, next to you and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,
