I long for your warmth,
To be near to you.
For the sweetness of your scent,
Like so many flower petals
Dancing on a summer wind.
I long for the embrace of your eyes,
By their infinite depths,
Shimmering pools of radiance,
For their light to enshroud me
More beautiful than the kiss of dawn,
Across the sea after a storm.
I long for the touch of your lips,
The tenderness of your touch,
The silk of your hair,
To feel your heart beside mine.
I long for your softness,
The art of your curves,
The whisper of your voice in my ear,
To hold you near,
And embrace you, your essence.
I long for the sound of your laugh,
The music of your voice,
For words of your happiness
And of your sorrow.
I long for your comfort,
To share your feelings,
And yet I see myself,
And how unworthy am I,
To dream myself in company of such radiance.
But I long nonetheless,
To feel your hand in mine,
For all your loveliness
I offer you this, my heart.
I long for you.
